TheFall.io is a freelance project completed in just one week for a video concept by Aywen.
It reached Top 10 trending videos on YouTube and attracted over 50,000 unique players, with 5,000 concurrent players at launch.
TheFall.io
TheFall.io is an online multiplayer game built in Unity, where I handled everything from coding to visual design.
Press Play and your character falls endlessly onto destructible platforms. Stay alive by moving carefully while other players try to knock you out!

Here are some screenshots showcasing my work during the development.
Network
I built an ASP.NET web app for account creation, authentication, and MongoDB requests.
Implemented an intelligent matchmaking system and used Redis for secure, high-performance client-server communication.

Watch the gameplay!
TheFall.io was part of a YouTube project by Aywen exploring custom .io game revenue. The final video received over 200,000 views and hit YouTube’s Top 10 trending.
Server
Deployed a Debian VPS with Nginx and Cloudflare for secure, optimized HTTP requests.
Engineered a reverse proxy solution to handle dynamic ports for scalable, high-availability game lobbies.

Cosmetic
In TheFall.io, players can customize their character by changing its color and adding hats for extra style.
I designed and implemented a simple yet effective customization menu to make personalization intuitive and fast for players.

Animation
I created several animations (jump, walk, grounded, fall, and more) for the character, inspired by cartoon movements to make it more charming and expressive.

Shop
I developed a shop system where players can collect coins scattered across the map and spend them in the in-game store to purchase cosmetic items.
Players can then equip their unlocked cosmetics to personalize their character.
